Hypnobirthing and workshops

The Birth Collection

Three ways to prepare for birth, all taught by me, in person.

Whichever you choose, the aim is the same. To walk into your birth understanding what's happening, and trusting yourself in it.
The Hypnobirthing and Antenatal Programme is the fullest of them, two Sundays with your partner. Private sessions are shaped entirely around you and your own dates. The Birth Workshop is an evening of the essentials, the body and the mindset, in a small group.

The Hypnobirthing & Antenatal Programme

The fullest way to prepare, for you and your partner.

For couples who want the whole of it, together, the fullest preparation for birth and for the early weeks that follow.
The first six couples make up the founding cohort. Two Sundays at Hogarths, a country house set in its own grounds near Dorridge, with your partner beside you throughout. You learn how birth actually works, and you practise the ways to stay calm and think clearly when it counts, rather than only hearing about them. Then it reaches past the birth into the early weeks, feeding, recovery, and the first nights at home, with the face you'll already know.

These are unhurried days, made to be looked forward to. Coffee and something warm from the kitchen as you arrive. The hours have room to breathe, and lunch is a long one, at a table laid for you. The morning is yours, with nowhere else to be. You leave with a printed guide to keep, and with someone who stays in your corner well past the day itself.

Founding places are £395 for the two of you, six couples only, for this first cohort. The standing price will be £475.
Booking opens in August. Add your name now and you'll be first to hear when the six founding places go live.

Two Sundays, 8 and 15 November 2026, ten until a soft close around 3.30, with lunch.

Hogarths, Dorridge.

For babies due late December to late February.

Private Hypnobirthing

Some couples would rather do this privately, often in their own front room, on their own dates. The private course is eight hours as standard, entirely one-to-one, with the same practical teaching as the group course and more room to spend time on whatever matters most to you.

Because it's just the two of you, it shapes around your circumstances. That might be preparing for a planned caesarean, coming back to hypnobirthing for a later baby, or something particular you want to work through, and the hours can stretch a little where a situation calls for it.

£365 for the standard 8 hour course, adjustable. We sort the dates, and anything bespoke, by email or call, so we can talk through what you need first.

The Birth Workshop

Prenatal Pilates & Hypnobirthing with Anna and Aimee

Your body is designed for birth. This evening is about learning to work with it.

Two hours on a Thursday, taught by the two of us. I run the hypnobirthing side, how labour actually works and how to stay clear-headed once it starts. Anna is a prenatal pilates instructor I teach alongside. During the workshop,  leads the body and the preparation. Between us you get the complete picture of what's happening in your body as labour approaches and during it, and what you can do about it.

Anna walks you through grounding and prenatal movement, how to move in late pregnancy when everything feels harder, and pelvic floor work, which makes such a difference and so rarely gets explained properly.
I cover the positions that help labour along and how to manage contractions as they build, and the part people don't expect to need, how to keep thinking clearly so you can make good decisions on the day.

You leave with practical things you can use and a steadier head about the whole thing.
You're welcome from the first or second trimester up to 36 weeks. Do get in touch if you're closer to your due date.

Thursday 16 July, 6 to 8pm at Graft , Kings Heath. Evening nibbles provided

Why this works

My background is in early years teaching, so I understand how babies develop in their first months, how they settle, and how they learn to feel safe. That knowledge shapes the classes directly. They're built around what your baby genuinely needs at each stage, rather than simply filling a morning.
Having my own two children taught me the rest. I know first-hand how demanding the early weeks are, and how much difference it makes to have someone who knows what they're doing, and who knows you. This isn't guidance from the outside.
Hypnobirthing I came to later, and cautiously. What convinced me was understanding what actually happens in labour, the way your body, hormones and nervous system work together, and how much fear and tension can interrupt that. So I teach the understanding, not only the technique. When you know what's happening to you, you can stay clear-headed and make your own decisions as things unfold.
And because I see birth and the early months as one continuous relationship, you're never handed to a stranger halfway through. The person who prepares you for birth is the same one beside you as you find your feet with your baby.

One familiar face, the whole way through, from the bump through the early days.

Held

Most support for new parents comes in pieces. One person for the birth, someone else for the early weeks, a different class once the baby’s here. The Held experience works the other way round. One person who knows you and your baby by name, all the way through.

Emily

"I can't recommend Aimee enough. Thanks to her I had the calm, semi-natural birth I wanted. She tailored the course to us, told us things we weren't aware of, and made us aware of our rights, which gave me the confidence to say no to things I didn't want. The recordings helped me sleep beforehand, and during contractions I put my AirPods in and zoned out. The midwives couldn't believe how well I was handling it. She gave us phrases that helped, too: a contraction is only a minute long, you can do anything for a minute, see them as waves. My birth didn't go to plan and I was induced, but I still got through it on gas and air, which is apparently rare. I put that down to Aimee"

Louise

"Because of your teaching I felt confident enough to make my own birth decisions. Thank you for the knowledge, and the confidence to question."

Yasmin

"Words will never be enough to express how grateful we are for all that you did to help prepare us for the birth of our little one. The 1:1 session you designed for us gave us all the skills we needed to create the birth experience we dreamed of."
