I'm Aimee. I live in Birmingham and I'm a mum of two.

Before I trained in this work, I spent nearly twenty years as an early years teacher, including time in school leadership and in education research. That background shapes everything I do now. I understand how babies settle and regulate, and what they need from the adults around them, and it's built into how I run every class.

I've been through the hard parts of this myself. The birth that changed how I think about all of it. The early weeks of feeding that were far harder than anyone had told me. The broken nights, and the point where I wasn't sure I was doing any of it right. I came out the other side, but I remember exactly how it felt to be in it, and how much difference the right support made, or would have made. That's the difference I try to be for the families I work with now.

I'm trained in hypnobirthing through Love Your Birth and in infant massage through The Little Rosebuds Academy, both FEDANT accredited. I trained in breastfeeding and newborn support through NestBaby, where I'm a consultant.
I keep groups small because I don't think this work can be done well any other way. I tend to know families by name, I can usually tell when a baby has had a difficult week, and I make sure no one is left struggling on their own in the room.

That's also why I built Held, so a family can have one person from preparing for birth through to the early months, rather than starting over with someone new each time. You're welcome to come to a single class, or to join the whole thread
My baby classes are in Kings Heath, Solihull and Kinver, and the Hypnobirthing and Antenatal Programme runs at Hogarths near Dorridge and workshops in Kings Heath. 

All of it is small and calm, and that's entirely deliberate.
